Communication strategist for legal tech & compliance, energy & climate tech, and policy & advocacy.

( about me. )
I've worked in very different worlds, from public affairs to Germany's energy agency to compliance software to global advocacy. The common denominator: All complex topics, that can sometimes seem dry or difficult to approach. That’s how I've learned to:
get into new topics fast
understand which angles an audience cares about and acts upon
know instantly what's sensitive, what's shareable and what could hurt a reputation.
Scroll

I find the angle your audience cares about and acts upon.
+ Accurate
Compliance, energy policy and development funding are areas where a careless sentence turns into a reputation problem. My content can be witty and still get the facts exactly right.
+ Curious
I get into a new subject quickly and at the right depth: deep enough to talk with your specialists, close enough to the surface to see what an outsider needs to hear first.
+ Diplomatic
I've worked between ministries, CEOs, lawyers, engineers, influencers and activists. I know how to bring very different interests behind one message, and when a topic is about to turn sensitive.
+ Human
Dry subjects become interesting through people: the founder with a reason, the team behind the product, the person a policy changes things for. I look for that story first.
( who I've worked with. )

( sound familiar? )
“Our topic matters, but people tune out.”
Compliance, energy policy, development funding: important, but not exactly scroll-stopping. I look for the angle your audience actually cares about and start there.
“Briefing someone new takes forever.”
Agencies often need weeks to understand your field, and you end up rewriting their drafts. I get into new topics fast, so you spend less time explaining and more time approving.
“Our experts know everything, but nobody has time to write.”
Your CEO or specialists have the insight but not the hours. I interview them and turn what they know into articles, posts or newsletters that still sound like them.
“One wrong sentence could cost us trust.”
In regulated or political environments, a careless claim can hurt your reputation. I know what's sensitive, what's shareable and what's better left out.
( client feedback. )
“In a very short time, Janina deep-dived into our niche and complex topic of legal compliance, made it understandable and drew out the personal stories behind our founders' expertise.”
“Brilliant ideas and creative, hands-on content creation. Very professional, creative, solution-oriented and incredibly nice to work with.”

Whatever the format, people outside your field understand why it matters, and people inside it recognise their own work.
What you talk about, for whom, in which formats and how often, anchored in your point of view and in what your audience needs to understand. Then I run it, or set it up so your team can.
